Lake Fork to Remain Open Longer

Based on the Bureau of Reclamation's most recent projections, it appears the Elk Creek ramp may remain open later into July than previously anticipated. This is welcome news, and as a result, Lake Fork Marina will also continue operating longer than expected.

As long as the Elk Creek ramp remains open, we anticipate keeping Lake Fork Marina open until July 28. You may continue to keep your boats in their slips until that date, or until the National Park Service determines that water levels require boats be removed from the reservoir. Please keep in mind that larger boats with deeper drafts should be removed once the reservoir elevation reaches 7,440 feet, which is anticipated to occur around July 17. As water levels continue to decline, our ability to provide fuel and other electrically powered services, such as ice, may be affected. Please plan ahead.

If water levels change and affect these plans, we will adjust our operations accordingly and keep you informed with any updates.

See you on the water!

Thank You for Another Great Season

To all of our valued slip holders, boaters, anglers, and visitors—thank you for spending your time with us at Elk Creek and Lake Fork Marinas.

As Blue Mesa Reservoir continues to experience historically low water levels, we are unfortunately preparing to close our marinas earlier than expected. While Elk Creek will close first and Lake Fork will remain open a little longer, we encourage everyone to get out on the water and enjoy the reservoir while conditions allow.

We're truly sorry for the early closure. Our staff has done everything possible to keep both marinas open and operating safely for as long as we could, and we're grateful for your patience and understanding throughout the season.

Thank you for your support, your smiles, and the memories you've made with us. We hope you'll take advantage of the remaining days on the water, and we look forward to welcoming you back to Blue Mesa when the water returns.
